Chrome Futur - coated

This is my 2nd Futur (10+ years on first one) I opted for the chrome & rubber coated grip version. Definitely a nice upgrade to the already near perfect razor. I shave wide open 5 or 6 w/ feathers. Best shave imo. Shipped quick, arrived well packaged. Highly recommend

Nice and solid. Great razor!

It will take some time to favor this over my standard Gillette ProGlide with flexball. That one is very forgiving, particularly with the ProGlide Shield five-blade cartridges. You can almost skip shaving cream with that and I can shave in the shower blindfolded. However I did ultimately get a closer BBS shave with the Merkur Futur. I did three passes with the Futur on setting one, using an Merkur blade, and it was as good as a barber shop shave with a straight razor. One observation however, it is a little fat to get right under your nose. I’m very happy with my purchase and love the gold color!

Why did I wait so long

Only 2 shaves in with the Merur Futur DE razor (or any DE Razor for that matter) and why did I wait so long. Love this razor and loving the shave I get. I still have a lot to learn but the initial impression is amazing. Very happy.
