This pre shave oil, is excellent as it coats and softens the beard. This is a perfect way to prep the beard along with the skin surface before beginning your shave. This product most certainly provides a very nice and smooth surface, which does assist in preventing razor burn. I highly recommend this product.

I like products that pair well together and believe that a pre-shave product makes a big difference in the overall shave. Having already purchased the TOBS Luxury Sandalwood Shave Stick for travel, I then purchased the TOBS Sandalwood Shave Cream and wanted a compatible pre-shave product to go with both. Up to this point, I had used pre-shave creams but not an oil. The TOBS Sandalwood Pre-Shave Oil was a logical, yet untried choice. The price definitely caught my attention but if used sparingly, it might be worth it. I found the 5-star reviews to be informative and encouraging and they turned out to be accurate, too!

Before I use any pre-shave, I always wash my face and beard aggressively with a washcloth to prepare my beard and start with a "clean slate." This allows the pre-shave product to properly do its work. Applied with just a fingerTIP and massaged in, I found this oil to be thick out of the bottle, yet very slick and it paired perfectly with the shave cream as I had hoped. A small amount goes a long way and the bottle should last a long time. The post-shave feel was great, too.

The TOBS Sandalwood Pre-Shave Oil is fragrant and luxurious. It definitely took my shave to the next level -- BBS, satisfying and with added protection! I'll be using it along with the rest of my TOBS Sandalwood "family" of Shave Products (all are excellent) every time and from now on.

This is a perfect way to start your shave - especially if you continue with TOBS sandalwood soap or cream and finish with the same scented aftershave. I feel SO pampered in the end and a big part of that is how one starts. This puts a nice slick layer under the shaving cream, giving you a super-smooth shave and allowing for multiple passes over tricky spots without the need for re-lathering. It feels super nice and smells even better. Ya, it's a bit pricey, but you only need a few drops - I think this 1 ounce bottle will last at least 100 shaves.
