NOTE: Due to pressure from European customers to reduce plastic use for environmental considerations, Taylor initially decided not to include the plastic seal in shave cream tubs. However, after thousands of requests they reinstated it. This means that for a while some batches will have the lid seal and some will not.

As for the cream's consistency, it varies between scents and batches.

Taylor of Old Bond Street Shaving Creams 150g jars use a hot pour method, are sold by weight, and the jars may or may not have a plastic seal. It is quite normal for the contents to vary in consistency from batch to batch. They may be more solid, shift, lean to one side, or have irregular cavities when you open them. Don’t be alarmed, TOBS ensures this is completely normal. This should not be considered a flaw and does not affect the performance of the cream. "Lather up and Get Your Shave On!"

Fantastic

Once you try tobs shave cream, it’s hard to enjoy other brands. The peppermint is a great morning shave. The first pass is great but where this scent really shines, is on the second and third pass. That menthol peppermint scent really shines and it’s very refreshing and the feel of the menthol on your skin, it’s just too good.

A trip to Candy Cane Lane!

Awesome! This is the smell of Christmas! That smell of peppermint that you get when you're eating a red and white striped candy cane!
As many people, including Geo have noted in the past, this TOBS shave cream has the slickness, protection, and glide that every shaving soap or cream needs to have. It goes a long way in getting a really close shave, even with an aggressive razor at the helm. It has an added benefit of mentholating your skin after you apply it, so it feels really cool and medicated, as well. I look forward to trying other shaving creams by TOBS, after using this flavor of shaving cream. If you are looking for that Christmas mint experience, this is the shaving cream for you. Something your wet shavers would love to have their stocking stuffed with! I would note, that this scent is strong and permeates the room, so if you might be allergic to mint or menthol, this might not be the product for you.
