Beautiful Stone

I ordered this stone based mostly on the reviews I've read here . It's a very nice stone , smooth as glass . However it done nothing for my razor for whatever reason , I feel like I'm missing something in this sharpening process or procedure that I'm just not picking up . Being as frustrated as I am at this point , it's about time for this razor to take a trip to the curb , I'm pretty close to being over it . I've had the razor for over 12 months now and still can't shave with it . I can't help but think I got sent a POS to start with . P.S. , not from Shave Nation . I do have several shavetes that use and am very happy with , I will close by saying the traditional straight just wasn't for me ! Thank you .

Naniwa 12000 grit stone

Its smooth as glass.....8 to10 round trips with your straight razor and your tuned back up ready to strop and get a baby smooth shave again. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to hone their own razor.
