It wasn't sharp. I had to pay $50 to get it sharpened.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. These razors come shave-ready from the factory. From reading your strop review it sounds like possibly you stropped the razor on the unfinished side of the leather. This would have dulled the straight razor instead of polishing the edge. A straight razor should be stropped first on the fabric, then the smooth leather side, as demonstrated in Geofatboy's videos. Check them to see the proper procedure. Also check the other reviews of this product, we strive for 5 stars, which is what the majority of users rate this razor.

It's good

If you are a newbe like me, do not think you are going to get a BBS shave the first time yoou use this.
It takes practice. You may think it is not sharp enough. It is. You just have to learn how to use a straight razor.
