Very easy razor to learn with especially for beginners

I love my Edwin Jagger de it’s so comfortable to hold and easy to grip.

Always a close shave with this razor

Have an older, ivory version of this razor and love it. Handle may be too short for some but that makes it the perfect travel razor. This razor is also offered in a rubberized handle for better control. Definitely one of the closest shaving razors in my repertoire.

Excellent razor

Great shave! I have always avoided the closed comb razors in the past. It is a game changed for me.

DE86BL Imitation Ebony Safety Razor with 5Pk Blades

Got this razor as my first DE because of its reputation for performance and good looks and was not disappointed. The DE8x series is not too aggressive, which is why it is recommended for beginners. It has a nice weight to it, and I find the handle comfortable (I have relatively large hands). The handle actually has better grip than it seems, though one should probably not handle with really wet hands. I’m still sampling blades but a couple of brands have allowed me to have some good, close and comfortable shaves. The chrome finish is superb; not many pictures online do it justice.
I highly recommend this razor to anyone in the market for a good-looking, medium aggressive razor (mild, medium, aggressive), and fellow beginners who don’t want to risk cutting up their face with more aggressive razors.
Note-: it seems that all of EJ’s and Muhle’s closed comb razor heads are the same. So unless you’re looking to pay more for other handles, you can’t go wrong with the EJ DE86x series. 08/30/2013
