Reliability and comfort at aa relatively low pice.

I recently loaned my Merkur 34C to a friend so he could try wet shaving with a double-edge safety razor. He was astounded at the comfort and result compared with his 5-blade cartridge razor. He used the Gillette Nacet blades I provided and seemed to enjoy the experience so much that I gifted him the razor and purchased another. I use the Merkur 34C HD flat bar as my travel razor. It's durable and easy to replace if left behind. Having given one away before, this is my third 34C. Trying it out this morning, it delivered the same comfortable, efficient result I've come to expect. Such reliability and consistency are in part what make it, I'm told, the world's favorite.
