Nice handle

I paired this handle with my R 41. I shave in the shower and appreciate the more robust knurling. The extra weight helps my habit of just letting the razor do its job with little extra pressure. All in all a great upgrade.

Viper Handle improved my R41 Grande shaves

I jumped right into DE wet shaving about 2 years ago with the Muhle R41 Grande. Great razor. Nice and heavy! The only problem with it is that the knurling on the handle didn’t provide enough grip (I’m a shower shaver), so I was always having to reposition the razor in my hand throughout the shave. The Stainless steel Alpha Viper handle has solved that problem! It has great knurling, it’s slightly heavier, slightly shorter, and a tiny bit smaller diameter than the original Muhle Grande handle. With the extra grip and weight, my R41 shaves have gotten more precise, and I cut a minute or two off my shower/shave time. I bought the Viper handle with the Alpha bullet stand. Great pairing!

The handle has a nice feel to it and the weight is nice too and it’s nicely made, well done.

Viper '95, an almost perfect handle for my Claymore Evolution

I have a polished Claymore Evo head purchased on the secondary market that came with a YAQI handle. After trying several other brands for a suitable handle from my collection I decided to give the Viper '95 a try.

I have about 12 shaves with the handle. Love the look and feel of the handle. It's grippy enough and the wider band at the end enables you to have an additional purchase on the handle when needed.

So why not 5 stars My preference is for 90mm length handles and the Viper is 5mm longer. I can work with shorter or longer handles, but that's just settling for what there is available. Another nitpick is the polishing on the handle is not as bright as the Claymore Evo head so the handle looks a little dull. These are my only two issues and they really are NitPicks because this handle really is a great handle.

I'm glad I made the purchase. And I'm really happy to have a complete Alpha Shaving Works razor rather than the mismatched setup when I purchased it.
