Feather Artist Club PRO-GUARD Blades

Just my experience, yours might be different. I did not care for this blade. i found the regular Pro Blade to be much smoother and easier to shave with. As for as a guarded blade, the Soft Guard was much better.

I was turned off to straight razor shaving for the longest time because I tried getting started with a $10 shavette from Amazon. Suffice it to say, it was a miserable and bloody experience. These blades along with the Feather razor have turned me back on to it because they are so easy to use and don't slice up my face. It is really a night and day difference from the cheap stuff.

Best blades i have tried on Feather SR so far. I used Professianal on my first shave with the SR. That was not a succes.After changing to the Proguard i got the best shave ever.

I tried the SoftGuard blades first and did not like them. A friend had sent me a japanese style shavette (clone of the Feather shavette) with a SoftGuard blade. I am glade I didn't buy a whole pack!I REALLY like these blades MUCH more. Very well protected and yet, they shave BBS in 2 passes for me. I am getting the hang of the Feather DX and these blades are nice pairing for beginners. I may even stay with them due to how satisfied I am with the shaves.I can shave for a whole week with one of these blades while a DE blade is changed after 2 to 4 shaves (except for Feather DE blades). I could probably push it for more shaves but, one week is good.

I’m really glad I purchased these blades. I went straight to the Super Professional blades which were too aggressive for me. These Pro-Guard blades have a perfect reveal while being mild, which is great for me since I don’t grow a thick beard. I highly recommend trying these blades if you are looking into straight razor shaving or want a relaxing shave.
