Merkur Progress' Best Friend

OK, so this review will be be complimentary to a razor and a razor/brush stand--------I own and use eight (8) double-edge safety razors and brushes, seven (7) of which fit into their own Omega razor & brush stand--------Recently, I bought a Merkur Model 500 short-handled adjustable razor from Shave Nation-----Great product, great service, competitive price, however, the diameter of the adjustment knob at the foot of the razor is about 1mm too wide to fit into Omega's product-------Since Shave Nation is a great resource for the wet shaving community, I saw the Col. Conk razor & brush stand------Fortunately, Shave Nation provided the stand's dimensions, and they seemed to fit into my medicine chest-----When the Col. Conk razor & brush stand arrived, I was most pleasantly surprised to find that it was a perfect fit for my Merkur Progress razor and my Simpson's Chubby 2 Silver Tip Super Badger brush!-----The stand will even accommodate a long-handled razor!-------Great job, Geo & staff!
