I was very hesitant and intimidated to use these blade because of reviews from others concerning the sharpness, aggressiveness, and lack of mercy for improper technique. Ever shave I make is for work or church so I didn't really want to be cut to pieces.

Fears unwarranted.. 3 pass shave with MUHLE R89, howbeit with much caution, and not one nick. Not one spot of blood. Talk about surprised! The shave was excellent, smooth and with zero irritation; really did not need three passes just wanted to see if I could do it without cutting myself.

Will continue to use these blades for every shave.
