Great shave at a great price

Excellent razor. Provides a nice shave, unique design, and in my opinion more aggressive than the Merkur 34g and Muhle r89. Impressive quality at a very low purchase price.

Beautiful razor and performance

I've used both plates now, first the open-comb with ~4 days beard growth and then with the closed-comb plate with ~2 days beard growth. I've been DE shaving for over a year, and have been meaning to upgrade to something more aggressive and a little nicer than my beginner's razor for a while now. This was my first time purchasing shaving supplies from SN, and I will be purchasing from them again in the future; the shipping was quick and prices quite reasonable. The razor itself is even prettier in person than in the pictures :). The open-comb setting returns amazing results; it provides a close and aggressive shave and is difficult to nick yourself with. The closed-comb, although I nicked myself a couple of times with it, still provided perfect results. As someone who prefers a more aggressive shave, I imagine I'll be using the open-comb plate much more often, but on those rare occasions when I find myself shaving after only 1 or 2 days beard growth, I'll certainly be grateful for owning the closed-comb plate.

Both plates give smooth shaves.

I was hesitant to try the open comb as I have a Fatip from 2014 that was very aggressive and not fun to use. This one is very mild in comparision and nice to use. For the weight of the solid brass handle, I would have preferred to have it about a half inch longer.
