Beautiful Razor

This razor shaves like a dream. I prefer it to my Merkur 34c HD. It is smoother and a tad more aggressive. It is also very easy on the eyes resting in my stand for the next shave. Last, I cannot say enough good things about the Shave Nation customer service. This one of my first two orders with them. They answered my questions precisely and quickly. In addition, shipping was fast and the products packaged with the utmost care.

Well made, but...

Yes, the DE89 is a well made razor, but I found it to be too light and not particularly smooth. Obviously, this is subjective and I am not planning on trying out different blades to see if that changes the shave for me. Personally, I will stick with my Merkur 34...it was Simon's an act of boredom when I purchased the Edwin Jagger. YMMV of course.

Bought for a gift

Great razor. I had read about the Edwin Jaggers since I began wet Shaving. So I gave it a try. Its a keeper. It will be a great gift.

Used this razor maybe a dozen times. Don't like the three piece design although just personal preference. Not a flaw or design issue. Good weight and balance It's a razor that I should like. My low rating, though, is based on the handle loosening up when shaving. Have to keep reminding myself to tighten it. Gotten a few nicks when I forgot. Just want to relax and enjoy a shave without thinking about this all the time. Pretty simple design, don't think I'm doing anything out of the ordinary.
