Manufactured using the highest marine-grade stainless steel. This razor is corrosion resistant and is so advanced it requires specialized machining. It continues the Gillette date code system and it has individual serial numbers for quality control and product registration.

And because it's infinitely adjustable, getting the perfect shave is just a matter of turning the dial up or down for a closer or more mild shave. My go-to shaver

I admit it took me a while to find the sweet spot with the Ambassador, meaning setting, blade, angle, and pressure, but when I finally hit it I was in heaven. I have long favored a Muhle R-41 with an aftermarket ss handle. With the Rex I settled on setting 5 with an Accuforge blade and shave with very little pressure, just as I do with the R-41. The results are similar in efficiency, but the Rex fairs a bit better with the alum block test. Both have good razor feel, if you like that - I do. The Rex wins in the intangibles of solid feel in the hand and the craftsmanship.

The Rex Ambassador is a great razor.
The quality is excellent, it's easy to use and cleans up very easy.
The adjustment on the razor is smooth.

Super heavy! Great razor.

This razor is so heavy that you need the XL version for balance. That said, I think its useful dial range is comparable to the T2SS, though the AMB-XL is more effective on the lower dial settings. The weight will require slower going around your mouth, b/c it is easier to nick your skin, but it feels great overall. The head size is better than the T2SS. I will switch off though b/c it's such a unique feel that I think I'll enjoy it more a few times a week rather than daily.

GENTS I must say this razor is the best I have ever owned and shaved with. At first was skeptical of getting it as I heard it was a very aggressive razor. NOT TRUE ! I have mine set on number 2 and it’s the most smooth and closed shave I’ve ever had. I am using feather blades. I would recommend buying this item. Plus it’s made in THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA !
