Muhle R95 Rocca Birch Bark Closed Comb Stainless Steel Safety Razor

This razor is absolutely the best! I have two Merkur razors that I like but 34G has the gold coming off. I did lots of reasearch and ran across the Muhle R95 Rocca Birch Bark razor. It is much more expensive that many other razors but I have to say, I think the double the price of my Merkur was worth it!! The handle length is just nice, the Birch bark feels very good in the hand, even when wet. It is not slippery at all. The brushed look of the metal pieces looks very nice indeed. I am still getting used to the three piece razor over the two piece but this razor is fantastic. It is a bit more agressive of a shaver, which I was looking for. The razor blade that came with it was maybe one of the sharpest I have used..

Overall, it is a pricey razor. In my opinion, it is worth it and possibly the last razor one would want to purchase. High qualit for sure.

The head on the R95 is incredible. It provides a clean, nick free shave on the first pass. If a pass is too shallow buffing is easy. Excellent addition to my razor shelf. My new favorite above my R41 and 34C, which are both excellent as well.

The top of the razor had a small noticeable scratch which kind of bummed me out when I first opened the box but I've gotten past it. Nothing's perfect. It really is a very nice looking razor. I like it having some weight to it. Before I got this razor I had a Merkur 34c. The Rocca is definitely more aggressive. I nicked myself the first few times. Still, I love using it and have gotten used to it. The handle has a nice feel to it. You won't slip. A great razor!

Hi Had to review this. I have the R41 and several others. I have to shave every day. This razor is the perfect aggression level for that, for me. I used to use a DE89 but as great a razor as it is, it was a multiple pass thing to get me close. I have fairly tough whiskers. The R41 is too much for the every day thing. I can get by with one pass on this with a little touch up on the neck and I’m good to go for the day. Zero irritation. I can’t even express how pleased I am with it. Not only does it look beautiful, but it hands down gets the job done with a quickness. though I don’t have to rush, it is nice to not have to go back, feel around and hit area’s multiple times. I know everyone is different, but for me, this is a grand slam. Muhle knocked it out of the park. Geo’s service is always tops shelf, at and this point I think that goes without saying. I couldn’t be any happier with the experience and the results. Thank you for a fantastic product and thank you for the multiple video uses making it easy to make the decision to buy. I’m very grateful.
