Feather All Stainless Closed Comb Safety Razor & Stand Gift Set

Yes. It's worth the money, in my opinion, if you want a stainless steel razor that is beautifully designed and built, and which provides a MILD shave but an efficient shave if you use it correctly. It took me a while to get an efficient shave. Geo's videos on the razor helped lots. If I "ride the cap" I get the perfect angle. I can use this razor daily without risking irritation or nicks. I don't use Feather blades in it. IMHO Feather blades are great--for other faces. I use Kai blades and Nacets and anything else and they all work just fine. If you love aggressive razors this might not be for you. But if you want a great, anxiety free, bloodless and comfortable shave, this is superb.

Boy is this well engineered. It was my every shave day razor until the Dovo Primo which I find more nimble and smoother shaving.

This is a top notch razor and stand set. It gave me a really good shave . I like everything about it .I haven’t seen one negative review on this razor and now I know why. This razor will out last me.I have several nephews to pass it on to .

Received my AS-D2 all stainless steel razor and matching stand a few days ago and let me just say, it is probably one of the most admirable kits I have ever owned. I proudly display it in the master bath area. I placed a new Feather blade in it and shaved the morning after receiving it. I used TOBS shaving cream and a healthy backboned Shave Nation Shaving brush along with a little Proraso pre-shave….. The shave was fantastic as I could have easily finished after two passes, but that would not be any fun with a new razor, so I did a 3rd pass against the grain to finish out the BBS shave.
I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this razor based on all the chatter about being way too mild, but I was able to find an efficient angle on the razor and enjoyed a very mild yet efficient shave. If you are on the fence about this one I would say, “go for it”….Yes, it is a tad on the expensive side, but money is what you pay but quality is what you get with this one!
And as always, The Shave Nation Team is second to none.

Just as Geo suggested.. This is truly a mild razor that does the job...like everything you buy today you have to spend a little more to buy quality..
