Scotsman Alexander Simpson started production of shaving brushes and male grooming ancillaries in 1919 and is widely regarded as a pioneer in the industry. Manufacturing was originally based in the East end of London but later in Clapham. In 1941, following the loss of his factory during the World War II German Luftwaffe blitz, production was moved to the West Country at the famous Nimmer Mill. Today Simpson shaving brushes and associated products are manufactured by Progress Shaving Brush (Vulfix) Limited on the historic Isle of Man. They continue to be produced in the traditional way using hand tied knots by time served, skilled workers.

Could be my number one Shave cream.

I have started to try different shave creams after using TOBS for years. I personally prefer the texture and aroma of Simpsons Ultra-Glide over TOBS. The Bay Rum is slightly my favorite over Sandalwood, but Sandalwood is also great since I change back and forth between the two. My wife loves the aroma of both. On my next order I will try the Lime. The creamy texture of Simpsons is my preference over any semi-hard cream such as TOBS. The lather is great with Simpsons. Life is short...give it a try!

Best Saving Cream

I have tried 4 or 5 different brands of shaving cream over the years, but when it came time to replenish my depleted supply, Simpson's is my choice as the best. Easy to lather using only a small amount of product. Just purchased three jars, two bay rums and one lime. As usual, my order was shipped the same day via USPS and arrived early, in good shape, and in just a few days. Thanks, Geo!

Awesome Shaving Cream
