Excellent Quality, Solid Construction, and Easy to Use

I’m very pleased with the Thiers Issard Solid Double Sided Leather Paddle Strop. I wanted something sturdy, well-made, and easy to use without having to worry about maintaining the proper tension of a traditional hanging strop.

The solid wooden construction provides a stable surface, and the generous leather stropping area makes it easy to keep the razor blade flat throughout the process. Having two different leather surfaces is another excellent feature, allowing me to use the black leather first and finish with the smoother brown leather.

As someone relatively new to straight razor shaving, I found this strop surprisingly easy and comfortable to use. The rigid design takes much of the guesswork out of stropping and allows me to concentrate on developing the proper technique.
