Merkur 25C Safety Razor Open Comb Long Handle

I'm fairly new to safety razor shaving and have purchased all of my safety razors here from Geo. I have the Dovo Primo, Feather All Stainless, and the Merkur Futur in addition now to his Merkur 25C Open Comb.

Up until now, the Dovo Primo was my favorite and the Futur I found to be poorly designed. Comparing the Primo to the 25C, I find the 25C does the same job with fewer passes. In fact, I wonder what a Primo open comb would be like.

The 25C i find very comfortable and easy to use. Just the right weight and length of handle. Given this is the least expensive of all those named above, what a surprise. Very solid and well constructed. Get one before they raise the price!

This razor is easily the best razor I’ve ever used in my life. I’ve got 43c the sledgehammer futur the open comb travel razor from merkur the adjustable parker the muhle r89. This razor beats everything hands down. Narrow enough to get under nose strong enough to take out weeks worth of beard growth no problem. No clogging at all on this monster. I’ve even got the razorine couple straight razors. Even the barber pole merkur closed comb. This razor would be the last i would get rid of hands down. That’s how good of a razor it is. Nimble in your hand not in a bad way and strong as Hercules. This razor is my all time favorite. Everyone should have this in there collection.

This is very nice- fits my hands well and paired with the feather blades makes for a very nice shave!

The 25C gives a great shave. It's definitely more efficient than my 43C but I would prefer a barber pole handle on the 25C. That is the only drawback to the razor and certainly not a deal breaker. It gives a smooth shave and I would recommend it to anyone.

Smooth open comb shave, zero irritation. Beautiful. Highly Recommend if you’ve been wet shaving for years and know what you’re doing.
