Not made like they used to be...

I have three classic strops, all over 50 years old. This strop has leather about 1/3 the thickness of the older strops, and a piece of linen that is nearer to cloth than a strop. It is a quality piece, but is not going to have anywhere near the longevity of the old classic strops. Keep looking.

Excellent—Ezra Arthur Horse Hide

I have a collection of several cordovan and horsehide strops which I rotate in use. I love the natural horsehide strop because it ages beautifully with character.
