Just introduced, Winter of 2023, the Parker Variant Adjustable Open Comb 2 Piece safety razor is a precision tool that will serve you well for many years. The new open comb head design allows the skin to be stretched as you shave, ensuring a very close and comfortable shave. This design is great as a daily shaver or when shaving through multiple days of beard stubble. The electroplated brass handle has extra knurling for a sure grip with wet slippery hands, and the knob at the bottom has deeply lined ridges for extra control when dialing the setting up or down.

Adjustable Settings: Turn the dial at the bottom of the handle to adjust the blade reveal. The settings go from 1 to 5 with 1 being the mildest, and 5 the most aggressive. Customizable settings accommodate differences in facial hair thickness, skin type, preference and experience level.

It is the perfect razor for beginners and experts alike. The blade angle can be adjusted by turning the knob on the bottom of the razor, so that the exposure can be set to each individual's preference. Great, but aggressive, little razor

I've been using a Gillette Fat Boy for years now, while I am a huge fan of the TtO and adjustability, I wanted something just a little longer. I've been watching Shave Nation reviews for quite some time, so of course they were the first place I looked. Mind you I DID look elsewhere, but I prefer to patron small businesses (unless prices are wildly out of line) and bought my razor from Shave Nation. Shipping was FAST, I had it 2 days later, and included a hand written thank you on the receipt. I'll be sure to check with SN for all my shaving needs going forward.
Regarding the razor itself, I've only owned it a week so can't comment on longevity, BUT it feels solid in the hand and I expect that will translate into durability. The open comb is considerably more aggressive than the fatboy closed comb, but I feel that working with that over a few shaves I'll get the process down.

Excellent razor…good heft and balance. Very similar in some ways to Gillette fatboy 60’s razors. Two improvements would be highlight the dial numbers and the setting dot.

Dial it in

This razor allows the closeness of an open comb razor, but also allows the harshness to be adjusted to the shaver’s skin sensitivity. I have gotten great, close shaves without irritation.
