Parker's Shavette razors are used in barbershops and shave parlors worldwide. The unique "clip to close" mechanism on this razor keeps the razor blade securely in place and perfectly aligned. Unlike most shavettes, the Parker SRX razor has a heavyweight stainless steel blade arm in addition to a stainless steel handle - not lower quality aluminum.

Many beginners start off with a shavette razor like this that performs similar to a straight razor, but there is no honing or sharpening required. Choose Chrome or Black from the Drop-Down Menu.

Great quality razor

Parker SRX

never used a straight razor of any kind before. big learning curve for me but not as hard as i thought. have nothing to compare it to but it works well, and i am guessing it will work even better as i get better technique. It seems like a good way to learn straight razor technique for cheap. it did come stuck and wouldnt fold open. I had to push it out with a punch and a hammer. when you close it dont push it together with too much force or it will get stuck.

Intro to shavette's

I came across Shave Nation through the video review of this shavette. My first impression was of good build quality for the entry-level price. As anticipated, I gave myself some pretty gnarly razor burn on the first attempt, then a nice slash on the second. I do like how close the shave gets though.
The item is made in India per the stamp on the handle.
