Great Safety Razor

Although I have only been wet shaving for just over a year, after countless hours of watching the all the time best, Geofatboy and learning so much. I felt it was time to take my shaving to the top level and I purchased the Muhle R41 which look's really cool with the black handle. This is now in my rotation of Safety razors (Henson AL13++ & +++ and Merkur 37C, which is soon to change to the Merkur 39C in the coming week). Don't let the hype of the aggressiveness of the safety razor hold you back from purchasing this razor. As when I use it, I pair it with a Kai blade. I'm still very careful as I only use the Muhle on the weekend when I can really take my time, I do a good pre-shave, I use a shaving soap or cream, so I make sure I have a good lather and when I shave, I use good technique and pay attention & focus on my shave. I'll be honest, the first few shaves I did get some razor burn and a few knicks but not no more. Every shave is just an awesome shave leaving me with a very clean & smooth face. I can't end this review without given a shout out to Geofatboy for the great shaving videos and the awesome service that is provided with each purchase I have made as there will continue to be more in the future.

Excellent results

Got mine yesterday, tried it this morning. Wonderful shave. Melts the beard with no effort. Watch your technique and you will have a great result. Pass and a half is sufficient. My fears where not justified with this razor. Now it is one of my go to razors. Open comb is the way to go for irritation free shaving. Thanks to Geo and his great staff another sucess story. Love shopping at Shave Nation.

SMOOTH

Own three other R41 razors. Just wanted lighter weight black handle one. Use Arco or other sweet smelling shaving soap with low cost blades Treet Platinum blade as of late (used Feathers all the way down). Never had ingrown hairs or weepers only on super rare occasion with R41. Every day to three day shaver. Right angle for your face and light touch will give you a great shave gents.
