After Shaving: Rinse off excess shaving soap or cream with cold water. Remove Cap, soak alum under cold water, glide over areas you shaved. Let it soak in for about 30 seconds. Rinse off with cold water. Pat the face dry and apply your favorite aftershave.

Been using alum since I made the leap into wet shaving. A shave doesn’t feel complete til I do that wipe down with alum and cold H2O. One of those standards in male shaving & skin care like a good talc or witch hazel ya’ just gotta have. When I spread the gospel of wet shaving to friends, an alum block goes in the “starter pack”. In my humble opinion, not much to distinguish one alum block from another, but the Shave Nation one is perfect in that it has the rounded end & protective cylinder. Great to keep

I’ve been using this same alum block and the prorasso Italian product for about seven years or so. Started straight razor shaving during the pandemic. It works great and is the exact same ingredients and much easier to hold especially with wet hands. I have dropped the alum blocks from my bathroom sink many times and have been using the fragments to do a quick cleanup before the final rinse and aftershave lotion or balms"
It just works, I like the small size for travel. It should last for many, many shaves.
I use an alum block on my face after I shave. It works well. This one is good for my travel pack due to the protective plastic casing, and if I forget my deodorant, this works for that too.
