Smooth shave; short life

These old school carbon steel blades feel good on my face and give a very good shave, particularly for their price. They will definitely rust. The alcohol treatment described in a review above will solve the rust problem for the useful life of the blade. My practice is even simpler: swish the razor head in a rubbing alcohol bath, shake off the razor, wipe the blade face while still in the razor and put your razor away. The evaporating alcohol and the wipe take rust causing water away. I have a medium beard and generally toss these after 3 or 4 2-pass shaves. They start to get dull after that. For comparison purposes, with my beard, I generally get 6 or 7 2-pass shaves from stainless steel blades. YMMV, depending on beard and number of passes.

Not what i was wanting

Have herd alot of great reviews from this razor blade. So wanted to try them and I am here to say I am yet to even get a half shave before switching it out for another blade. Just not sharp to me at all and it disappoints me so much. Do not have a clue what I do any different!
