Merkur 47c and Shave Nation great team!

All my shave needs come from Geo and Shave Nation. Always great service and products.
This long handled Merkur razer is perfect. Balanced, easy to handle and well made. It a hair under my DE 89 oin agressiveness and I would say smoother. I use it with Persinna Med Prep blades which is a sharp long.lasting blade with a moderate razor. Leavimg me a perfect shave. Close with no cuts or irritation for a daily shave. ⁰

Merkur 47C Review

The construction of this razor is flawless. I have an Edwin Jagger and a Parker razor that had some construction flaws that I worked around (safety bar pins not being straight, not best consistency of blade reveal on either side). I bought those from Amazon, so maybe that was a bit of buyer beware.

The 47C is milder than I thought it would be, but I shave my face and head every day, so don't mind that too much. The angle I need to use for the razor is a touch different than then the Edwin Jagger that I have, so I am getting used to being more efficient about that (I have only been using it for three days now). Even with the feather blade, I would only give this about a 5 on the aggressiveness scale, but the razor itself if very high quality.

Great looks but not so great performance.

Handsome razor but extremely mild even with a feather blade. If you had to shave every day, this could be your razor. No nicks,no cuts and no irritation. But in my case, I had to go for a four pass shave.
