The only difference between the Henson AL13 and the Henson AL13 Medium is the blade gap and blade exposure. These measurements control the "aggressiveness" of the shave.

For finer hair and shaving areas other than the face, a milder razor is generally desired. Go for the AL13. For coarser hair, the aggression of the AL13-Medium razor may be more suitable. For even heavier beard growth go for the new Aggressive Version of this razor.

High quality; fine shave

This is a high quality, precisely made razor. It is priced accordingly, but commensurate with it’s construction quality. I got the medium ++ level. It gave me a very good shave on my medium beard with one pass and a couple of touch ups. My only gripe with the razor itself is the aluminum material. I am used to a heavier razor, but I’ll get used to it.

No nicks, super smooth. This is my first safety razor and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase! The medium is fine for a beginner IMO

Great Shave

Best shave I have ever had. The razor is not heavy and feels great in my hand. Wish I had known about this razor years ago. I have the medium one. Five stars!
