Good lather, good skin protection while shaving, and I really like the smell.

Great Cream

Terrific experience all around, buying from Shave Nation is always a seamless experience. This is a great product - a lot of value - slick, lathers quickly and stays moist. This and Arko are my go-to creams, I'm not a big believer in expensive boutique brands, these old world creams have been a round a long time for a reason.

From a Proraso fan...

Since getting into wet shaving several years ago, Proraso shaving creams have been my go-to creams after trying many others. With my last Shave Nation purchase, I came across the Lea product and couldn't resist adding it to my cart, if only to see how it compares to Proraso, especially since Lea is priced a bit less. My first impression is that the tube is huge, bigger than I expected from the web site picture. I haven't compared the size but it visually appears to be a larger tube and hence a larger value. Secondly, I found the LEA to be very mentholated, to my liking, and perhaps a bit more so than Proraso. Where I find the Lea cream to fall short compared to Proraso is in its lathering ability. Lea lathers just fine but Proraso seems to form a thicker cream with the same amount of water and preparation. Proraso stays on the face a bit better where the Lea is a bit drippier. Maybe I need to play with the water added and my mixing technique.

In summary, Lea is a great cream and one I would consider ordering again after I get through the generous tube. However, if I had to choose just one, I would lean towards Proraso. The cost difference is minimal and the sheer creaminess is a bit better. Then again, there's a slightly better menthol experience with Lea. You really can't go wrong with either and my best advice would be, given the low cost of both products, to buy both and decide for yourself. If nothing else, you'll have enough shaving cream for a while to come.

Cold as ice!

I was surprised with this cream. After your first pass each time I lathered up seemed colder each time. I have always used the green Porraso for years. There may be an upset in the making. I did pair this up with the porraso green pre shave and after shave splash. Great lather! Extremely refreshing all around, you decide. But it was worth it to get a decent nights rest.
