The Parker Variant 2 Piece Adjustable is a precision tool that will serve you well for many years. It is the perfect razor for beginners and experts alike. The blade angle can be adjusted by turning the knob on the bottom of the razor, so that the exposure can be set to each individual's preference. This beautifully designed black and satin chrome plated all brass frame is a heavyweight, smooth shaver. Adjustable Settings: Turn the dial at the bottom of the handle to adjust the blade reveal. The settings go from 1 to 5 with 1 being the mildest, and 5 the most aggressive. Customizable settings accommodate differences in facial hair thickness, skin type, preference and experience level.

Terrible quality

When I put a blade in this razor, the numbers don't line up properly. Apparently, this is a pretty common defect with this razor. This is the second razor I have purchased and compared to my previous one, Parker 22R, this one is terrible. I have tried every number and I get a MUCH closer shave with my previous razor. I am very disappointed in the lack of quality with this razor.

Nice Razor, But a Bit Aggressive

I've got some of my closest shaves with this razor. However, it is a bit more aggressive than I would like. I have to be careful shaving sideways on my neck and around the mouth area.

I should note that I use Derby Special razor blades in all of my safety razors.

There is a minor manufacturing flaw with my razor. It looks like the flaw probably came from the mold used to form the razor.

Great shave, just like my other Variant!

I purchased this razor, because it is an Anniversary Edition of the Parker Variant Razor.
I own a variant already, so I knew this would be a very gentle razor! I broke it in, with a Gillette Nacet blade, as it is mild in all my other razors I have in rotation.
This razor shaved me nicely, with no nics or abrasions, the setting was on 1, and after the second shave, I was amazed at how clean I was, with only my normal spots, that are taken care of in the
" clean up " finale'
With the correct choice in blade, this delivered a great smooth shave, Very happy I purchased it !

Parker Variant Adjustable Closed Comb Safety Razor-Anniversary Edition

I already own a Variant open comb edition and am very happy on the way it performs, besides the Black and gold and being closed comb this razor is the same as other variants. Shaves smooth, close and irritation free. I have not run into any trouble in adjusting it or in its calibration of it. If you don't line up the lines on the razor it will not shave right and you can tell right away somethings wrong, I know because I wasn't paying attention and felt the razor not closing down tightly. I have never been disappointed by Parker and based on the reviews of their products most people have not been either.
