Muhle R41 and Stand

The razor was just what I was looking for. It is beautiful, well made and has a certain quality to it that you don't find often these days. Luxury - that's the word I'm looking for. The stand is classy too. It is an aggressive razor, but nothing to fear. I don't always use a really sharp blade, like feather, because it's not always needed. I've been using Balzano this week and it seems to be a good pairing for me. I like that I can do a one pass shave with the grain and get by. Of course eight hours later it looks like I didn't even shave. Or I can do two or two and a piece and be smooth. I could have just bought the razor from SN and the stand elsewhere to save a few bucks but I don't mind taking a small hit to support this business.

A43,43, closest shave ever with minium number of strokes. I can now shave less often.

The saying, “A sharp knife is a safe knife” This razor gets scary close and I wasn’t using the sharpest blade (stock blade). I shaved this morning with a Parker 22R and just couldn’t get ride of that sandpaper feeling. The R41 fixed that problem and I’m pretty sure I won’t have to shave for a week now. Move slow, lather up, and enjoy the show. Also should know I didn’t nick myself once with the Muhle! Worth every penny!
