Ogallala Bay Rum Sage & Cedar Shaving Soap

So far after four shaves, the Ogallala Bay Rum soap is by far my favorite of the ones I've used. I upped my shaving game about 3 years ago from the gel type shaving cream in the aerosol cans to a quality shaving cream or soap and they've all provided a vast improvement. Since switching over, I've used Taylor of Old Bond Street Eton College Shaving Cream and Colonel Conk Almond Soap and the Ogallala provides the best shave yet and my Rex Envoy Safety Razor just glides smoothly throughout my shave. The Bay Rum is such a pleasing scent and it lathers up very nicely. I look forward to my next shave much more now. I'll will probably stick with this brand from now on as it also fits perfectly in my Stone Marble shaving bowl I also got from Shave Nation. Thanks Geofatboy!

I have bought different Ogallala Soaps from Geo and so far I have tried 2 of them, the Sweet Orange and the Sage and Cedar. The scents are excellent. Just delightful.
At the price you can't beat these shaving soaps. I found I like to heavily load my brush with the soap before I lather either on my face or in my lather bowl. These are slick as long as you use plenty of soap,, but at 4.5 OZ and at $8 each, you can feel OK about using plenty. Load your brush up! With a thick lather the slickness is very good.
I like these soaps a lot and I'd recommend them to anyone. I'll be buying more to have a stock pile of my own, and also as gifts for a few of my friends that also wet-shave. You can't go wrong with these.

I have tried many soaps and Ogallala is the best. Great lather excellent shave. You can’t beat it for the price. As a bonus all of the scents are great as well.

I didn't buy this soap for shaving. I bought it specifically to keep in the shower and wash my face and mostly bald head with. I do this to soften my beard for a better shave after I get out of the shower. I have used this brand before for the same purpose but not this particular scent. I have not used it yet but I like the scent in the package.

This is my favorite shave soap and I love the great smell. Gives a very good lather and a great shave. Will be ordering again from Shave Nation. Thanks for the great service and the free Derby shave stick was an added bonus.
