Manufactured using the highest marine-grade stainless steel. This razor is corrosion resistant and is so advanced it requires specialized machining. It continues the Gillette date code system and it has individual serial numbers for quality control and product registration.

Shaving with an Ambassador is smooth and efficient - it's very easy to find the right blade angle. And because it's infinitely adjustable, getting the perfect shave is just a matter of turning the dial up or down for a closer or more mild shave. The weight is hefty and balanced right below the adjustment dial - perfect for letting the razor do the work. Exquisite Craftmanship & Phenomenal Shave

Just received my Ambassador Standard and she's a looker. Nice heft and precision made. Prominent adjustment settings, finely tuned mechanics, and gets through all 6 gears smoothly. First day on the strip with 2 days growth, Astra Superior Platinum blade, Musgo Real cream, Simpson M7, and Fine Accoutrements bowl. Smoked the tires to lather-em up for a 2 pass shave. 1st pass was in 3rd gear with the wind at my back. 2nd pass in 2nd gear with a headwind and crosswind. BBB smooth and no nicks. Solid grip with outstanding knurl. Easy to cut sharp edges on sideburns as well as reach in to the tight space under the nose. Pricey but, impressive as hell and 100% satisfied. Plus, the convenience and look of the 'Stand Accessory' is REALLY nice if you have an extra C-Note burning a hole in your pocket. This Ambassador is heirloom quality and a Winner in my book. Have the shave you deserve!

Last Razor

I was looking for a quality made adjustable razor with a streamlined head for shaving tighter areas like under the nose. This one checked all the marks and had some additional great features like the knurling on the handle and the bottom adjustment. I absolutely love this razor and I’m getting great shaves, but still experimenting with different razor blades to find the perfect one for my face, skin and beard type. Hard to justify spending that much on a razor, but the quality is obvious, it’s a great looking razor and I anticipate it being my last razor purchase.

The Only Razor I'll Ever Need

After much research, I purchased the Rex Ambassador XL. This is a precision, stainless steel All-American razor that's excellent in every way: The infinite blade adjustment, separate from the disassembly knob allows me to dial in custom settings for any shaving condition anywhere on my face. The extreme no-slip grip puts me in control while the heft of this razor means that forcing the razor is no longer necessary.

Over the years, I paid for this razor many times over foolishly using expensive, throw-away cartridges. Now I have the last razor I will ever need and can pass it on to my son or grandson one day. Although I'm still experimenting to find the best DE blades, my Rex Ambassador XL has definitely made shaving enjoyable again!
